Can a team keep different baselines for each circuit?
Yes. Baselines can be organised by vehicle type, circuit and conditions, while session records preserve the configuration actually used.
Vehicle setup management
RaceControl keeps vehicle-type setup profiles, circuit-specific baseline setups and session setup records. Engineers can record the configuration actually used by a car and driver, including wet or dry conditions and supported suspension and damper settings, with explicit units.
A baseline is a starting configuration for a vehicle type and circuit. A session record describes what the car actually ran. Keeping the two separate preserves the engineering history when a starting setup changes.
Setup profiles define configurable fields rather than assuming every race car has the same adjustments. Supported corner settings can be shown in a four-corner view using the values entered by staff.
Capture the setup actually used after a test or race session and retain its circuit, car and driver context. Teams can compare records and reference tyre usage to understand changes between runs.
Questions
Yes. Baselines can be organised by vehicle type, circuit and conditions, while session records preserve the configuration actually used.
No. The configurable setup profile should reflect the adjustments available on that vehicle. The system does not assume every damper has the same controls.
No. It records and compares engineering information. Setup choices remain an engineering decision, and no performance improvement is guaranteed.
